Travertine Console Table with Three Arches – Contemporary Organic Form

I’ve had the 5-arch travertine console in my entryway for three months and love it, with a few caveats. The stone is a warm, neutral beige with natural variation. veining and small pits/fill that make each piece feel unique. The five arches keep it from looking bulky, but make no mistake: it’s heavy. Ours arrived in a wooden crate and took 4 people (and a dolly) to move. Assembly was just placing the top onto the base with clear pads; once set, it’s rock solid and doesn’t wobble.

Finish is honed/matte, so it’s elegant but porous. I sealed it right away and use coasters. water rings wipe off easily now, but citrus can etch if left. Edges are smooth, not sharp. The proportions are great for a standard entry wall: slim profile but long enough to style. I’ve had a large mirror, a ceramic lamp, and a stack of books on it without any bowing or instability.

Natural stone quirks: there are a couple of small fill spots that are slightly lighter than the surrounding stone. normal for travertine, but worth noting if you expect uniformity. Also, the underside isn’t finished to the same degree, which you’ll only notice if you crouch.

Overall, it looks far more expensive than most alternatives, feels substantial, and instantly elevates the space. Just plan for delivery, seal it, and use felt pads under decor.
