Architectural and solid, worth the splurge

I’ve had the travertine console table with the four arches for about six weeks and it’s become the piece everyone comments on. In person it looks like a little architectural sculpture—those arches keep it from feeling bulky while the stone gives it real presence. The top is substantial (feels around 1.25–1.5 inches thick), and the whole thing is heavy enough that you’ll want two people to set it up. Mine arrived in a wooden crate with dense foam; no cracks or major chips, just the natural pitting you expect in travertine and a couple of tiny filled spots you only see up close.

Color-wise, my slab leans warm beige with soft veining and a few creamy clouds—exactly the organic variation I hoped for, but worth noting if you’re expecting uniformity. I added felt pads under the arches to protect the floor and did a quick level check; one arch was a hair off but a thinner pad fixed it. I sealed the top right away and it’s handled keys, a ceramic lamp, and the occasional water glass without issues—unsealed travertine will etch, so don’t skip that step. Day-to-day care is easy with a damp cloth and pH-neutral cleaner.

Dimensions are great behind a sofa and in an entry; it’s deep enough for styling but not intrusive. Price is up there, but the build feels solid, there’s no wobble, and it genuinely elevates the room. Only con: it’s not kid-proof—corners are crisp and the stone will chip if you’re careless.

We aim to deliver orders to the United States within 20 business days of your purchase date. As a European design house, we manage biweekly transatlantic shipments using our premium courier partners (FedEx & UPS) to ensure a seamless arrival at your home.

Please note that to ensure maximum protection during transit, your piece will be professionally packed in a custom wooden crate and fully insured. Delivery is Curbside, meaning the crate will be unloaded at the end of your driveway or curb.

*Home Accents (0–10kg) include stone trays. Statement Furniture (10–200kg) includes side and console tables. Grand Scale (200kg+) includes dining tables, coffee tables, and large console tables.

Sourcing Note:

While the majority of our stock is held in our European logistics center (Bucharest), custom pieces may be shipped directly from our atelier in Türkiye to expedite your delivery. To organize a return, please contact us at hello@travertable.com within 100 days of receipt with your order number and reason for return.

Please note that for standard returns (change of mind), you are responsible for the actual third-party freight cost to return the item to our warehouse, plus a 10% restocking fee. These amounts will be deducted from your total refund.

Your item must be in its original condition and packed securely in the original wooden crate.
